Hello to all my admiring fans. I wanted to post some pictures on this venue but after trying several times unsuccessfully to load them i grew impatient and and posting this link for you to see them elsewhere. This probably makes me an awful blogger but i think my sanity is worth that. Here is my link:

Nyumbani
It has seemed like quite some time since I updated this space, however, I don’t actually think it was that long. Time seems to slow down in this part of the world. However some things of note have happened since my last posting:
-My colleague, a distant relative of mine, and I have moved into a new house. It has company, a gecko or two and a colony of carpenter ants. It also has a big crack in my bathroom ceiling that rains leaves and occasionally, but not too often a cockroach. Nevertheless it is cozy and Our “nyumbani” or home for the next couple of months, and I have to say I love it. We have great neighbour’s and couches. Both are big pluses.
-We have monkeys. Although I think they are the equivalent to the Canadian Raccoon as the other day the next door neighbour had a dead was in his hand and was also throwing stones at another.
-I have a Tanzanian Mama, who is also incidentally a nun, not sure if that is a contradiction or not but no one has yet been smote so I see that as a good sign. I hope you don't mind mom, you're kinda far away right now.
-A couple of marriage proposals.
-A dance party in the nursing station. Apparently there are people in the world, and they are Africans no less, who think I’m a good dancer.
-I went swimming in the Indian ocean.
-My colleague got a flat tire on the other side of town. Fun fact; it is possible to get two people and a broken bike home with only one functioning bike
-I saw a three year old child riding a bicycle that might have been too big for me. It probably doesn’t sound as exciting as it looked.
-I saw a goat in a box on a bike. I think Dr. Seuss must have gotten some inspiration from Tanzania.
-I went to a wedding. And I thought Canadian weddings were long.
-I was given a beer by a nun.
-I have also spent a bunch of time in the hospital. Just so you know, it hasn’t been all play.
